I haven't posted here for a while: that might have been an improvement.
Last time I posted, I concluded I had been right to take a Post-Brethren stance. I started out on this blog, saying I agreed with what "brethren" teach, but not what they do. That eventually led me to sever ties with the "exclusive" group I had been in. After that severance, I spent some time looking around, and several months visiting a continuing Anglican church in particular. In finally concluded that I had been right in the first place: that "brethren" more or less hold biblical truth, but deny it in practice.
I'm still where I was then; which is not that comfortable a place to be...
But although I'm not done yet (either with this quest or this blog), there will certainly be a change of pace from here out.
Just thought I'd warn you.

Thnaks for the heads up. I've missed seeing your thoughts on the quest.
Wow, it HAS been a while!
Looking forward to reading more.
I too am looking forward to reading more. It has become painfully apparent to be that the right balance of individual spiritual pursuit of the Lord and the corporate testimony of His people is to be striven for. You sort of "can't have one without the other" it seems. I remember you saying one time that you felt that if you could find the right group and join with them you would be carried with them into a deeper spirituality. But it doesn't seem to work that way. On the other hand, there is a longing with many of us to really be involved in demonstrating or should I say living out the truths of the "One Body". Hence - the quest. No solutions for you, just meditating in print ...
Hey, I've been reading through a lot of your stuff recently and I am going through exactly the sam issues. I am currently 'in fellowship' in a tight (for want of a better word) brethren assembly in N Ireland. I can see the basic setup and doctrines are correct but so much else is added on to what you have to be in order to be an 'acceptable brother'.
Keep up the writing.
